2011/2012 Committee
Francesca Rowson - Chair.
Organise and Chair weekly committee meetings. To manage the weekly activities of the committee and to manage activities of volunteers.
Max Laverack – Secretary.
Circulate minutes of the weekly committee meeting to all SNPA group members and volunteers within 48 hours of the meeting. To assist the Chair in monitoring and managing the email account and Facebook group.
Emily Chapman – Treasurer.
Manage the group’s finances and bank account. This will require working collaboratively with the Planning Society Treasurer. Alert the committee of funding opportunities available from within and outside the University e.g. grants. Writing funding applications, this shall be a joint responsibility with the Secretary or Chair.
Alex Whitehouse – Website and Publicity.
Responsible for regularly updating the website and Twitter account. Publicising and raising awareness of the SNPA online, includes improving Google rating. Responsible for publicising any events held or attended by SNPA by utilising the website, email account, Facebook group and Twitter account.
Project Leader (Attercliffe).
Maintain a strong working relationship by keeping with all contacts involved in the project. Maintain regular contact with individuals involved. Provide weekly updates at the committee meeting with progression of the project.
James Green – Policy Analyst.
Maintain an up to date record of changes to Planning policy which will affect the planning tools and powers available for Neighbourhood planning. Additionally research best practice examples of Community led Planning. Report any changes or proposed changes to relevant planning policy and examples of successful community led planning to members at weekly committee meetings.
Philip Brown – Publicity and Campaigns.
Increase awareness of the SNPA group within the University, Union and the Sheffield area. Utilise local resources such as Forge Press and Sheffield Newspapers. Responsible for publicising any events held or attended by SNPA.
Megan Farmer – Recruitment officer.
Recruit second, third and fourth year students from planning and related courses as volunteers which will then be prepared to take on committee roles for the next academic year.
